How it works
The contents are a combination of alcohol and camphor, mixed with two salts and water, giving a solution which is both conductive as well as saturated.
This combination makes each Weather in a Bottle Stormglass very sensitive to the electrical tension in the air. The positive or negative ions moving ahead of weather in the atmosphere initiate and control the growth of crystals in the liquid.
